Gastown and Prospect Point

Happy February, guys!

Well, I said I’d get pictures while I was gone. And I did. Lots of lovely ones. And usually I limit myself to 10 pictures per post, but I really couldn’t decide. It’s 12 this time. Just this once, okay?

Okay.

Anyway. So this was my first time in Vancouver. And it was awesome and there was lots to take pictures of, despite the fact it was rainy and stupefyingly cold the whole time we were there.

Gastown pictures first!

Dad described this as “sort of Vancouver’s steampunk town”. It’s accurate.

Fun with selective black and white.

This clock runs onย an actual steam engine. Like, guys… this is legitimately steampunk.

Another angle and filter because it’s just too cool.

Look at it go. All the steam. ๐Ÿ™‚

Up the clock.

And up the corner of the clock. Rain was on my camera, but it sort of made a cool effect that way.

Now pictures from Stanley Park. Or, to be more specific…

Aren’t the two little umbrella-d people down there cute? โค

Hope you all enjoyed! Have you ever been to Vancouver? Which picture is your favorite?

    • Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚
I KNOW! I peeked over the edge and saw those two sitting there. It was so perfect. ๐Ÿ˜› But it’s weird, because like EVERYONE there has umbrellas as opposed to the practically no one in Seattle. Maybe no one has suggested that umbrellas are wimpy up there. XD

  1. Hey, I was wanting to ask. May I please use the umbrella couple picture for an essay I’m doing for school? I need to analyze a visual source and the umbrella ship just provoked so much interest!

Any thoughts?
